Down On The Farm

Based on Georges Street, designist is a design store with a difference. It was opened in November 2010 by Barbara Nolan and Jennie Flynn, who felt that Dublin was lacking a store like this.

They work with the idea that products should be ‘beautiful, useful and affordable’ – and as such, don’t stock anything that costs over €100. They like to keep things simple and try to make good design accessible to everyone.

designist stock a wide range of items ; items for the house, things for kids, for the kitchen, things for the self and things that bring smiles to faces.

While trying to stock as much Irish design as possible, their stock also features lots of international design talent. Its the perfect place to pick up a gift for someone, or to just treat yourself to something a bit different.

Nic Keane (Box Deluxe show) will be playing at the Amen Brother night @ Odessa, Friday night, free entry. Also on the line up is Pablo (Downtownsounds). Niall Kirke from Amen Brother recently guested on the Box Deluxe show with a choice of seriously stoned grooves that went down a treat. Tonight Nicky Boy will be repaying the favour and with gusto!
